Shark inspiration is nothing new for A Bathing Ape, but now the Japanese stalwart is kicking it up a notch with a brand new collab for Spring/Summer 2016. Taking cues from Spielberg’s classic Jaws, BAPE’s nod to the 1975 film comes in T-shirt form and offers up two different co-branded graphics that include the likes of the film’s iconic poster, BAPE’s APE HEAD logo and the brand’s signature 1ST CAMO motif.
Following the release of its capsule collaboration of goods with Felix the Cat, Japanese OG streetwear brand A Bathing Ape(Bape) teams up with Steven Spielberg’s Jaws for another surprise drop. Arguably the highlight of this latest release is the label’s full-zip hoodie, which features a graphic printed face resembling the giant man-eating white shark along the hood. We also find a selection of T-shirts emblazoned with dual-branding, most notably one which sees the iconic Ape head being devoured by the giant fish. Rounding out the release are a pair of bucket hats with embroidered detailing. Ranging from $74 USD to $282 USD, the Jaws x BAPE collaboration will be available in BAPE locations starting June 18.
